Hi Whitecaps families, 

I'm Becca Liberman, your Champs coordinator this year and mom of two on the team. 

For new families: Champs is an optional championship meet at SwimRVA for swimmers who hit JV or faster time standards. This year it's July 18 (10 & under) and July 19 (11 and up). GRAL time standards can be found here: https://www.gralva.com/time-standards

Champs is not the main emphasis of summer swim so don't worry if it's not your kiddos thing. No interest in Champs info? Feel free to stop reading and ignore all future emails from me. 

For those who may want to get involved: new leadership is being proactive this year and forming volunteer committees for t-shirt design and printing, heat sheet books, and event logistics. 

If you're interested, reply to me and I'll get you in touch with the right people. There's also a virtual info meeting May 20, 7-8pm where more info on the committees will be shared for anyone who might be interested. We have a rep attending (thank you Karen), and will pass along anything useful.

No pressure. Just wanted to get the word out early.
